A meal party for foreign students and exchange students in the second semester of the 107th academic year

Center for International Academic Cooperation

On April 24, 2019 (Wednesday), the Center for International Academic Cooperation hosted a meal party for foreign students and exchange students at the "Red Table" on the seventh floor of the Management Building. The Center invited CGU Vice President Prof. Jan-Kan Chen, and Prof. Dah-Chuan Gong, director of the Center for International Academic Cooperation, and many teachers and seniors to welcome 10 new students from India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Gambia and Nigeria. The number of international students in the 107th academic year is 157, accounting for 2.3% of the total number of students in the university.  They are from 28 countries.

At the welcome party, Vice President Prof. Chen, Director Prof. Gong and Prof. Sebastian D. Fugmann, deputy director of the Center for International Academic Cooperation, represented the university to sincerely welcome all new foreign students to study in the university.  They bring passion and different styles of viability into the school. At the same time, the Center also invited the seniors of the school to participate in this grand event. It is hoped that in addition to sharing experience, the new students could also interact with the seniors through this meal party.  The purpose is to help the new students adapt to the new life on campus as well as to help them step on the learning track as soon as possible.
